This 'n' That

Jessi made these flower hair clips out of scrap fabric. They were fairly quick and easy to do, it seemed to me (I watched from the sidelines) Jessi makes her hair clips with the alligator style clip, that way she can put a safety pin on her shirt and attach the clip to that and it doubles as a cute broach of sorts.

Another fabric clip.

For this clip, you just sew along the edge of a piece of ribbon and then gather it. As you gather it, it starts to curl a bit. Just help shape it the way you want, glue it in place, put it on a clip, and voila!

Nan made this cute play make-up. Get a real make-up case and take the make-up out. Fill it in with fingernail polish and let it dry. Let the nail polish bottles dry too. (clean out the brushes though with polish remover) Now you have pretend make-up eye shadow, blush, and fingernail polish for your little girl.
(We saw this idea on this blog.)

Heart Baby Quilt

This is a baby rag quilt. I sewed the hearts on leaving an outside margin of fabric that I could cut the edges of so they would fray also.

maternity shirt refashion

This ugly maternity shirt turned into an adorable little girls shirt. I just did all the seams inside out and used one of her tank tops as a "pattern". I added some extra scraps of the t-shirt onto the right shoulder and just tacked it on. SOOOO EASY.

shirt refashion

I bought this shirt for Lilli for her birthday, but she never wanted to wear it. I asked her why and she said it was because it looked like a boy shirt (it used to be just a crew neck shirt). So I decided to play with it a little. I just cut the neckline and added some ruffle and flowers that were made out of a white t-shirt I didn't ever wear anymore. Much better and now she wears it all the time. It was fun working on it with her being right there telling me what she liked or wanted.

skirt

Here is a skirt I made for Lilli out of scrap lace strips and pink fabric I got from a garage sale. It is a lot cuter in person (i think so, anyways)!

scary hand, pretty bracelet

I love making these bead flowers and have since made MANY jewelry pieces incorporating it! This was the first one I made..... and of course, gave it away....

Apron Fun

I love to whip out an apron for a bridal shower or a birthday gift. They can have so much personality and make twirling around the kitchen fun and sometimes flirty.

These are a few designs I came up.
